F1 new season

Can't wait for the weekend and the new F1 season. New cars, new rules, new drivers, what more could you ask for.

Update on kitchen

Well, all the units are in place, the cooker is in and working and the tiles and wallpaper on the walls. The next job for the weekend is the glossing of doors and skirting boards.  It is looking good.

Yorkshire pudding - in the new cooker

Always a big test, will the/won't they. Looked through the clean oven door to see them rise. Result!

We ate one each for dinner tonight. Will have the rest during the week

James Martin Yorkshire puds

Tried out James Martin's Yorkshire pudding method (even though mine were good before) This is the result. Just hope that the work the same on my new oven.

The new tiles and wallpaper were  done so we could get the cooker in, the old one was breaking down bit by bit so there was a sense of urgency about this redecoration. Only the rest of the wallpapering to do, and more tiling between the units. No doubt there will be another project when this is finished!

Cooking on (electric)

New cooker in place and has been used twice! Don't want to rush things (or dirty the job)

Kitchen makeover

New unit fronts, out with the old wooden ones and in with smoked glass at the top and gloss on the bottom.  What a transformation . Juts need the finishing touches , plinths, etc.
